Meet Retrosound Films

We are Cliff and Jessica, and we love stories.

Husband-and-wife wedding filmmakers for sentimental couples who care about travel, music, family, and the feeling of being fully present in the day.

Our beginning

Before weddings took us across the country, our story started 700 miles apart.

We met online in 2007 while living 700 miles apart, and somehow stories about travel and music became the beginning of everything. We made each other mix tapes, back when that still meant something you could hold, and imagined a life filled with road trips, songs, children, and maybe a French-inspired farmhouse.

We married in 2008, and now we have three beautiful kiddos and a life that looks a lot like those early dreams, minus the farmhouse. What we did not expect was that our road trips would become wedding weekends across America and beyond, from California and Montana to Mexico, Nashville, New York City, and Iceland.

At home, things are simple in the best way: coffee, tacos, records, movies, and little adventures with the kids.

We do not believe wedding films should make the day feel bigger than it was. We believe they should make the real thing impossible to forget.

Cliff

Music, mountains, coffee, and quiet observation.

  • I can't live without guacamole.
  • I've played guitar since I was 15.
  • A song I wrote almost made me famous. Almost.
  • I'm okay with being an introvert.
  • Wyoming is the most beautiful place I've been.
  • I used to roast coffee. Now I just drink it all the time.

Jessica

Old books, jazz dreams, dancing, and the tender parts.

  • I can't live without wonderful, old books.
  • I love singing, and wish I could sing in a jazz trio.
  • Unexpected road trips are the best.
  • Caracas, Venezuela is the most beautiful place.
  • My favorite part of weddings is the dancing.
  • I will probably cry at your wedding.

Where the stories take us

2026 will bring us to Aruba, Los Angeles, Park City, Bozeman, and more.

Our bucket list still includes Italy, France, England, Ireland, and Hawaii. But the place itself is never the whole point. The best wedding films are shaped by the people who gather there.
